The Department of Classics is pleased to announce the creation of the Susan D. Martin Excellence Endowment in Classics, which provides support for up to $4,000 for students in all areas of classical studies to pursue educational and research opportunities elsewhere (e.g., travel to museums, work at archaeological field projects or study abroad in a country with primary evidence for the study of the ancient Greek or Romans, attend conferences and symposiums). Applicants must be currently enrolled at or admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences at UT pursuing an undergraduate degree in Classics. Students interested in this scholarship must consult the head of the Classics department (email@example.com) concerning application procedures for the specific programs they wish to pursue. Since application deadlines for these programs vary widely, students are encouraged to begin consultation with the head during the fall semester before the application is due. The application deadline for the Susan Martin Travel scholarship is February 1 of the year in which the award will be made.
